Kurio: Android Tablet for Kids

Tablets for kids are on the rise. It is one of those segments of this market that not too many companies have played for. The Kurio from Techno Source does give us a taste of what kid’s tablet will be like. This is a 7 inch tablet with Android on-board. It has a kid friendly interface with advanced filtering and parental controls.

The tablet supports 8 different children profiles. Parents will have control on how their kids use the tablet. A time limit can be set for each kid. The device has a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor processor and 4 GB of storage. You also get a 512 MB of RAM. The 7 inch version of this tablet will run for $279 but the 8 and 10 inch ones are in the works and could cost as high as $329.
